For parents

National Autistic Society

The website recommends a lot of helpful resources including:

1. Parent to Parent Service Helpline

"If you would like to speak to a Parent to Parent Service volunteer please call 0808 800 4106 to leave a message or fill in the form below. A trained volunteer will phone you back as soon as possible to offer confidential telephone support. We will aim to call you back within a week of your initial call, but this might not always be possible. We will return your call as soon as we possibly can. When you talk to one of our volunteers, everything you say will remain confidential unless there is good reason for us to divulge information. For example, child protection."

3. Telephone interpretation service
