Alternative Resources
This TV show is one of my favourites- it has a great cast and is done really beautifully and honestly. It centres around a family and their journey with their boy with Autism. Please bear in mind, that this is not necessarily the most generalisable portrayal as the boy has very mild autism, but it is still worth a watch.
The A Word
UNO
A great, repetitive, colourful game for all ages. You can get a set of cards for under ten pounds on Amazon.
Atypical
Very similar to the A word, but definitely for much older audiences- it has strong sexual references, but it's a lovely, light watch for parents and older children.
Social Skills Boardgame
You can get this set of 6 boardgames from Amazon for around £35. It helps with building social skills, and I think it is well worth the investment.
